At the London Stadium, Eintracht Frankfurt beat West Ham United 1-2 in the first leg of the Europa League Semi-Final.

The visitors had a dream start when Knauff headed Borre’s cross and gave the lead to his team in just 49 seconds. However, Michail Antonio’s close-range finish brought West Ham United back into the game.

Both teams went into the first half on level terms. However, West Ham could have been in front when Jarrod Bowen’s effort hit the post before the equaliser. Frankfurt were lively in the break and created a few goal-scoring threats.

However, in the second half, Frankfurt scored again through Daichi Kamada in the 54th minute. On May 6th, West Ham United will travel to Germany to face Eintracht Frankfurt for the second leg of the semi-final.

It will be hard for West Ham United to come back from behind as they are playing away from home.
